My current research involves studying communication of organizations.  Other than what is mentioned below, I have submitted or am in the process of writing papers discovering taxonomies for mission and vision statements*.  These papers, including the ones mentioned below, are some of the first to use software that examines the natural language of documents to discover these taxonomies.  These taxonomies can then be used to establish relationships with other communication methods with each other, with other qualitative data, or with quantitative measurements.  In addition I am looking at how organizations can shape public opinion by how the communication is crafted.  My other research interests include leadership and organizational change.

*I wish to thank my 2016 text analytics class for assisting in the data collection for these papers.  The members of the class are Rocky Bowman, Brett Kingston, Billy Mansfield, Airiana Mitchell, Gerard Nicosia, Matheus Ribeiro, Miguel Rodriquez, and Nick Shaw.
